I have the same issues with my 04 Cooper S, I have an aftermarket ipod icelink and nokia car kit. the car doesn't go to sleep hense the drain in battery. I have made up to switches that disconnect the kits and have no probs ever since

well try this ....get a multy meter ,put it on amps, discnnect the negative lead on bat. attach one lead of multi-meter yo the neg. bat. wire and the other meter lead to neg. battery post . the drain should present itself in an amp reading. then pull fuses till the reading stops . this last pulled fuse is where you've got the problem .if you've still got a reading all the way through till end' then you've got multiple drains . pull them all and put in one at a time and record each circuit that reads . luck to ya

Sounds like Herbie Hind is a radio ham! Eh? I'd have given exactly the same advice.
