Won't start.......................NOT cold start issue

I went into a store for 15-20 minutes and came out to my Mini Cooper (CVT) and it would not start (bummer), after 4-6 tries and 3-5 minutes she fired up like nothing was wrong. I have since stopped and started a few times with no problem. I worship my Mini but now after 1 week and this happened I'm bummed out. Anyone else have this problem

Motor On

Figured out problem

The problem seems to be I had not pushed the gear shift far enough up in to Park and so the car would not start, I was able to duplicate the problem several times so it is not a problem I gues I was just being to gentle
