Windscreen misting up - Outside

I've got this strange - what I believe to be a fault - with my windscreen.

I put the air con on and the point it all to the windscreen, it all demists no worries.

However, in the middle of the screen, two blotches of mist appear, to the left slightly and to the right slightly.

The air doesn't get rid of it.

If I put my windscreen wipers on they disappear.

I know of no other car that does this... and my Dad seems to think it's a fault.

Is anybody else having a similar issue?

Welcome to earth.
Hot(ter), humid outside air condenses on the two ice-cold windscreen patches you have created by blowing all to windscreen.
Not a fault, rather a natural phenomenon.

You could possibly try something like Fog-X (made by the same people who make Rain-X) to reduce the effect?

But this often happens on cold nights?

Also, even if I take it off blowing on the windscreen and put it onto the face or feet settings... it still appears? :-s

Mine does it too, & always has. I just run the heat for a bit until it clears.

it's natural. Normally you should leave it set to face vents for normal cooling. Especially on damp humid evenings when like you say it will happen most frequently.
