| £22.30 for the cover, and £3.28 for the foam underneath. I'm wondering if its an easy job to fix myself, the bracket and screws that seem to hold the other one on seem hard to get to as the door rubber seal blocks it, anyone know if this is an easy job ? | Very simple. Just pull the rubber off where it covers the screws and push back on after, the rubber is only push fit and not glued or anything. Providing all the clips are still intact it just a matter of pushing the new parts on and putting the screws back in. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

| i will see if i can find the thread with my occurence of this. mine was replaced at dealer £75 ish, autoglass paid for it and the damage to the roof it caused when it came off as they didnt fit the a pillar cover back on properly. i had to threaten them with legal action in the end. the paid close to £800 to me for dent removal and roof respray.. |

| No sealant, no. The redesigned part is the foam underneath to prevent air from being directed under the A pillar cover. The cover itself is identical. Never had any issues myself and I've had got two early models with the old style A pillar foam. Problem often becomes apparent after windscreens have been fitted as the the covers perhaps don't clip back on quite as tightly as before. Having said that mine have been off twice with no issues??? ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

| The only clips I can see are these, all of which are the same, snapped completely off. Are there any clips at the top/bottom? I don't fancy trying to pull my other cover off to find out. If it is just those 4 clips though I might as well and jut go buy the part from bmw and see if I can do it myslef Cooper S Hyper Blue - GTT/GRS/Speedline/KW |
