England Fixed leaky bonnet!

Just took my MC back to dealer after getting puddles in my toolbox bay after heavy rain. After reading on this forum about this problem I suspected it was the rear brakelight seal on the middle light.Imagine how smug I was after telling the engineering manager that it might be this only to be told I was right and that the light was actually full of water! Also they fixed my problem with my hesitant rev problem by a software update! Also got new jack and i am getting my carpet replaced .Just shows you how usefull these forums are!!!

Boot I should think unless he has the first factory warranteed rear engined MINI

I had the same issue, quick fix but didn't have a free new carpet etc....I'll have to have words with a certain MINI mechanic when I next see him....You know who you are

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!

does the new rear light need silicone sealant or just the new gasket when fitting?
i've just bought a clear light unit which came with the gasket so will it be ok just to fit it as it is?

cheers
