| Smoke then no power steering Got home from work today, start doing some work on the house, then my neighbour started shouting you are is on fire  . There was smoke coming from the engine so I disconnect the battery and let the car cool down for an hour. Could still smell the smoke (like electrical smoke smell ) Reconnected the battery and the fan on the power steering started and then died. So tried to use the steering and it is now heavy so is has failed. Any ideas? Was MK1 Black MINI ONE (Sept 2001 Build) NOW NEW MX-5   |
