Unhappy Driver window trouble

i know lots of poeple have had trouble with this..
My driver's side window stopped working yesterday, and no amont of toggling seems to get it to budge. The door opens and closes ok - although it does cath a little on the a pillar, but the window just refuses to move at all - I can hear a switching noise in the door asif something is trying to work,
any sugestions or thoughts - i thought maybe the moter ?... anyone replaced the moter themselfs - if so was it a fairly easy job ?
thanks in advance

look on your door panel, the forward most mounting screw, close your fist and hit the door just forward of that screw a few times fairly hard while moving the toggle switch, temporay fix but should still get the motor replaced

If you are in the UK try MiniMatt.co.uk

Mine has had this problem on both doors for the last year. I just keep thumping the door cards. When that no longer works I'll replace them.
