| not seen in the boot well of a S model but the Cooper has some drain holes in the well - i guess if a rubber bung is missing the it could by road spray? I did have a leak in the boot (no not that sort of leak ) which meant my well had water in, reading from posts on here and speaking to the dealers the high level brake light is prone to leaking which means water makes its way into the boot (is your carpet wet?). i tried to solve this 3 times with silicones, etc but it turned out to be the rear light seal that had split - used silicon around it and its been dry in the boot since |
