spirited cornering and bad vent smell?

My MC has been having problems of ventilation smelly socks problem, but not much lately as I have been trying to put some heat on and dry it out regularly.
The other day I was driving a little faster than usual through some nice curves and after that the vent had this VERY strong smell of wet, rotting socks
Could it be some accumulated crap in the ventilation systems has come loose and is now creating this smell?
I'll have it checked - as well as the cabin compartment air filter but was wondering if there's not something wrong in the system itself - can this be checked easily?

Is it possible that when you run around in non-skid backed socks, that you "burn rubber" and
so you are associating a burned-rubber smell with stinky socks?

That would explain why you think you detect a stinky-socks smell after driving like a maniac,
and after I drive like a maniac, I detect the smell of burned rubber.

Driving like that is fun anyway, so get an air-freshener pinetree, hang it from your mirror
and just be happy.

Cant think of anything that smells like socks on my car, but again it could be tyres, or clutch, or something else that you'd maybe expect if you're being a little bit "spirited" with your driving.

Could also just be the aircon needs servicing. But that wouldn't relate to driving it fast or slow.

Smile

- no definitely not burnin rubber. It's really the bad smell of the A/C & heating/ventilation system when it needs servicing.
The only thing that worries me is this sudden 'delivery' of bad smell after a couple of sharp turns - looks like accumulated stuff in lower parts of the pipes or system.

I will ask for A/C service - I just didn't think of that very useful now winter is almost there.

Do you wear rubber socks, SG?
