Driving home .... pulled off and the ENGIN MANAGEMENT light come on with EML and A TRIANGLE WITH A ARROW GOING A ROUND IT (reduced power) 30mph ....got home SWITCH IT OF AND ON NOW just the ENGIN MANAGEMENT is on in the book its DETERIORATION IN THE EXHAUST EMISION VALVES PS with this and my light

I had this light come on, on my 02 cooper it cost me 50 quid for BMW to turn it off said it was something to do with my aftermarket exhaust, but nothing wrong with it, they just deleted the fault memory!

I am having the same problem, I had my car diagnosed and my problem has been linked back to the throttle response module, I had my clutch replaced about 3weeks ago and it seems the sensors could have been knocked off whilst fitting the replacement. I’ll now have to wait until later this week to here BMW’s verdict as to whether or not they will fix the problem.

Got in the car this morning , and the engin light was off .It drove ok . nexdoor to my work is MG/ROVER garage , and one of the lads pluged in his ( T4 ) the code was (p-1688) but he looked in the book for it NOTHING and no code was found on the T4 so he deleted it .And it drove home like it never happend . STRANGE .......O yes i give him a £5.00

This imissions light /co2 sensor has come on a few times with my modded mini.Apparently it happens alot with modded cars and as the factory settings are so fine it doesnt take alot to go out side the settings.But if when you check the code when getting it reset and it says co2 too rich etc then dont worry .Spoke to one ofthe guys at GTT and he just leaves his light on.I get mine switched off as it anoys me but some dont bother.i wouldnt worry to much.

mine came on and was a dodgy pressure sensor.
