can anyone tell me if there is anything i can adjust ont he boot of my mini so i dont have to slam it quite so hrard that it makes the car bounce to get it to close properly?

You can try and adjust the rubber bump stops built into the corners of the boot. If you do a search on here you will find that people have adjusted them to (i think) 3.5cm.
