Yellow Cooper How much is a new gearbox

By the sounds of it my gearbox is slowly dieing day by day.

It sounds like when a ships ancor gets pulled up with those big chains.

Not the best desription but closest i can think ok.

Anyone any ideas which bit may have gone. And any price ideas for each part.

I live in bristol and would prefer not to go back to a main dealer. The car is a 52 plate.

Any help truely welcome.

Assuming you car is a Cooper with a Midlands gearbox and out of warranty ,your only hope is Minimaniauk i think they had it listed at 1200 pounds,it makes no sense replacing the original box if you intend to keep the car,i believe the OEM box is more money anyways unless u find one in a crashed car or a dump
