| I got my car fixed on Friday - it was the oxygen sensor in the exhaust that was knackered... And now look at the news... I use tesco's petrol: BBC NEWS | UK | Petrol retailers say fuel is safe It seems the problem was caused by Tesco's petrol!! ![]() Guinness World Record Holder 'Largest Parade of MINI Cars' 28th March 2007 |

| not sure if this helps, but heard today on bbc five live that sensors dont need replacing, just new tank of fuel and ecu reset, [not mini specific] also on air from ford guy who got a generic sensor for £30.00, RATHER THAN THE FORD part for about 180.00, not suggesting diy approach, if anybody is outside dealer network and on 3rd party insurance, and only pay cash for fuel, and dont keep receipts, it looks like your on your own, so this would be a good plan b for you ![]() carefree |
