United-Kingdom creaking A pillar trim

Does anyone else suffer from a creaking noise from the A pillar trim whilst the cabin temperature warms up. Once warm its fine. I have heard that these break easily if you try and remove them. The car is new (oct 06).

Any ideas ?

Thanks
Geoff

I've got creaking and rattling everything else but not the a pillar, mine is also relativley new, July 06. Maybe they down graded the quality before the R56 came out? Could explain alot. I've already had a new gearbox, 400 miles in total, need a new rear speaker, squeaky seats, side skirts falling off. Need i say more?

The trim is quite easy to remove by first removing the rubber door seal around the trim area, and then pulling it away by its top edge. It is simply held in place by 3 friction catches.
To help prevent creaking maybe a small amount of vaseline could be put on its mounts before reassembly. New trims cost around £12 from BMW. They are pretty robust & hardly likely to break ... but dont sue me if it does

Not likely as the necessary retooling costs would cost far more than any money saved ..and Why ?? .. unless of course the R56 quality contol people wanted to practice on something

thanks guys - on Sunday I had a look and decided to tap it where the fixings are located. And today no creaking !!!!!!!!!!!

If it returns - I'll get the dealer to check.

Thanks
