Light washer stick measurer broken

Hi,

I've just checked my windscreen wash and noticed that my stick which is used to measure how much light washer there is has broken. I checked it 2 weeks ago and the stick was fine, since then its gone to BMW for a brake fluid change so it seems like they have broken it and not told me as no one else has touched it!! It's broken at the very top of the plastic stick.

Should I ask BMW if they broke it? Is this a part they can provide me? Has this happened to anyone else?
