Do you really want another car from this dealer My 03 S had similar problems after 15 months from new, electrics went crazy, everything went crazy . Dealer had the car 3 days and traced it to water entering a headlamp relay. It's just a process of eliminaion and testing all electrical components amd wiring harnesses. It takes time but can be done if the garage know what they are doing. You can bet it was water affecting an electrical component somewhere on your car. Looking at some of the wiring connectors under the bonnet of any MINI they are a little exposed to the elements for my liking
