mine does a wee bit too. i think the 'camber' of the roads has a bit to do with it, if you drive on the other side you'll notice it may well pull to the right. i'm not suggesting for a minute you drive on the wrong side of course!
i've read that the early models had a bit of a problem too, don't know anything about it though IMO. other than that, get the balancing and tracking checked. my thoughts anyway.
ummmm, to be honest, i know very little about cars, am learning though! as for tracking, not sure exactly of the measurements involved or how it's adjusted. i'm sure someone on here will.
mines a 51 plate too so will be interested what others have to say.
i've learnt heaps on this site so far, well not enough to help you but... well some anyway!
ummm, yeah i guess odd tyre wear could mean the wheels aren't straight, which is what the tracking adjusts i think. so suppose this could make the car drift.
is it very bad? i've found back roads are worse, with steep camber and repairs, motorways and such seems fine really.
well, get it checked out somewhere. if you do a search i'm sure you'll find loads of threads about it, quite a common thing i think. hope you get it sorted. let us know what you find out.
I had the exact same problem with mine. It kept tracking to the left and it became pretty serious on the motorway.
I took it to my local MINI dealer who kept fobbing me off with excuses. I took a guess myself and asked them if they could rebalance the tyres and realign the tracking. It cost 30£ all together and the mechanic found that the left front wheel was tracking five times more out of line than the other wheels. He realigned the tracking and theyve been perfect ever since.
just spoke to them and its £140 for a full 4 wheel allignment called a KDS check - then they will be able to adjust or tell me what the problem is......i aint got £140 tho
