can the airbag light be reset

hi guys and girls is there a way to reset the airbag light.
before i had a service the light was on,got it back and it was off.
a little while later it came back on.
unfortunately i had a collision with someone and after i got my car back all fixed and sexy again the light had been put out or reset.
i have been working on the car today and had to take the battery lead off, after i reconnected the battery the light had come back on

As far as I know, only the dealership can reset the airbag light. The "scan tools" can reset the check engine / EML light, but not the airbag light.

If you find a local garage who have a scan tool like the snap on one we have they can turn the light out.

I dont think your local garage can able to scan or reset your airbag light. BMW cost about 25 pound for a reset.....

Hi mate , one option you could try, ( this came from my friendly local mini technician ) disconnect your battery, leave off for about 30 minutes. Then disconnect your two airbag wires and leave off again for about 30 mins, ( yellow plastic plug connector under each seat ) reconnect airbag wires then reconnect battery. give it 5 minutes then turn ignition on but not the engine, let it run systems check then fire the engine up.
Hope it all works out , Stay safe,D.
