I have a UK spec Cooper with Pepper Pack I bought direct from Dealers in September 2001 .
I am picking up an "S" in 2 weeks, and as i didnt like the Dealers P/X I have advertised it privatley, both here & in Local mag`.
Just had someone come to view it who mentioned he liked the idea of the passenger seat height adjustment (amongst the many other nice things).
After he left (he will get back to me shortly), I was looking over the car & couldnt seem to find any passenger adjustment lever ! - although it clearly says in the brochure that it should have one.
Well I Dont sit in that Seat, How am I supposed to notice its missing!!
Rang the dealers, but they`re shut now till monday, So did a search on this sites COOPER forum & found a thread from last October which said that dealers were offering a £50 refund to owners of pre-September 2001 Built cars that might have this problem, although some were being told that a KIT may become available in the future so that dealers could update the mechanism.
Does anyone know what the situation currently is with regards to this.??
If I was to sell the car privately next week, would the new owner be able to get a new passenger seat with height adjustment as part of the warrenty agreement.
Im sure I wasnt told about this when I picked the car up, and certainly wasnt offered any refund.
Help Please, I need to tell the prospective new owner what to do if he decides to buy it.
Thanks in advance.
