Stupid Bird knocked out my lights!

I was tootling along a country lane last week when a stupid grouse/pheasant ran out in front of Sonic. When I inspected him I noticed that the indicator and the fog light below it have both been pushed in. I will be ringing my dealer later today to book him in. Any idea how much this might cost?

Also, his windscreen wipers are getting a bit tatty. Would you recommend I get the dealer to replace them or would I be better doing it myself?

Many Thanks

Anthony

There are plenty of perfectly good spare indicator/side lamp lenses available cheaply on eBay, as many people change them for the halo variety.

I've found the quality of the original BMW wiper blades to be better than any after market ones, though I am sure that there are people who will disagree with that! Just be sure not to pay them to change them over for you!

Thanks, I don't think I need new lights as the current ones still work. It looks like the white plastic clips may have broken. I don't know how to get in there to have a fiddle about. It is possible that they just need clicking back in place.

I'll ask for some wiper blades and fit them myself.

By the way, the stupid bird got up and ran into a field after I had hit it!

The indicator is screw into the bumper so chances are if its moved the bumper bracket will have broken, I had the same prob and replaced the bumper, its an easy job if you can get the bits.
