Overheating My 2005 R53 Cooper S with 22500 miles just blew its gasket and was leaking coolant on the parking overnight. Took it in to the dealer after calling for type of coolant to put in. Turns out to be the thermostat gasket is leaking coolant and on the same day 5 MINIs were in the dealership with the same problem! Anyone else experiencing this problem? It is very hot here in Utah and the 100 F degree heat may have contributed to the failure. |

| Same here, but when that happened it was a mere 60 F / 15 C and 19.000 miles on the counter! After the complete housing was exchanged, I had to go back 2 times to have the trapped air bubbles removed. |
