Service dept refuses to carry out service bulletin - next step?

Hi all..
My newly purchased S has been at the dealership getting a few things done before it comes to its new home.

One of the issues was in regards to the dual-mass flywheel not dampening engine vibrations and causing a chattering/rattling sound from the gearbox when stationary and idling in neutral with the clutch pedal released.
BMW released an updated part to resolve this issue and a service bulletin - the usual "in case of customer complaint" do the following etc etc.
It was being fixed, then it wasn't, then it was, then it wasn't again...

Basically the great tech "Mick" who always used to look after my car has moved on to greener pastures and his replacement/s aren't exactly stellar.

I went to inspect the car to find they'd missed several items on the list of "to do's" - all approved by the warranty guy.

First I had to fight to get the LSD oil changed to the updated version as they denied knowledge of the service bulletin in regards to it.

Now they are telling the service department that there is nothing wrong with the flywheel when they "drive" the car - it's one of the quietest they've heard (read the service bulletin guys, it says the symptoms occur when the vehicle is stationary).

I can sit in the car, start it up, take my foot off the clutch and instantly hear the gearbox chattering

Looks like a call to Mini Customer Service is on the cards if they keep refusing to do the work despite the exact symptoms described by the service bulletin being present.

Anyone else had this sort of problem?
I know I can take it to another dealership but I've had a really good relationship with the service dept at this dealership up until now and I would like it to continue.

Cheers, Geoff.

Ahhhhhh..
So I guess no one on Mini 2 has ever had problems with their dealership refusing to carry out warranty or service bulletin work.

Very frustrating the way genuine, serious issues sometimes get no attention on this forum yet a poll to see whether I should get pink polka-dot bonnet stripes would probably get 200 responses..

Oh well, off to another dealership I go..

Cheers, Geoff.

I had a service department that refused to repair warrenty items too, I took my car to a different dealer. If you complain and try to make them do the right thing, they will just do shoddy work.

Not sure if this course of action is available in the UK ...

I had a problem with underhood air duct scratching the silver JCW intercooler cover on my MCS. When the Service Manager told me replacement wasn't covered under warranty, I requested to talk to the Regional MINI Factory Representative. The Service Manager set up an appointment, I returned when the Regional Rep visited the dealership and he approved a warranty replacement for the air duct (redesigned) and intercooler cover.
