Central Locking - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi all,

Im having a problem with the central locking system on my 2003 Mini cooper. All of the sudden the central locking packed up on the passenger side. I can still hear the meachnism trying to open and close the door but it just wont work. Then all of the sudden it has happened on the drivers side as well. Is it just a coincidence???? The key fob and dash toggle switch still work well as i can hear the mechanism working it just doesnt lock and unlock. Is there a fix for this fault??

jUST FIXED THIS AM THE SAME PROBLEM ON THE DRIVERS' SIDE -ITS THE CENTRAL LOCKING ACTUATOR - 4.5 HOURS TO FIT (REMOVE DOOR PANEL ,UNDO WINDOW FRAME ETC) AND PART COSTS £65.00. I USED THE FORUM HERE FOR THE PANEL REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS BUT THE REST OF THE JOB IS VERY FIDDLY BUT WITH PATIENCE YOU WILL GET THERE
