Engine Mount - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi,

Was checking my S for oil and water the other day and dad noticed a dribble of oil from what ive now discovered is an engine mount on the drivers side of the engine.

Took it in to dealer and they confirmed thats what it is. and said they will fix it at my next service in 1500 miles. And I might get a knocking noise from engine bay if it gets really bad.

Just wondering is it ok to drive with this faulty? Not going to damage anything?

And does anyone know how much the part costs roughly? As i'm out of warranty.

And could this be attributed to the fact im running the car lowered?

Hi it wont damage anything only in the long run it will and it costs about £40 for a new mount. They are not that hard to replace ether.
