Hunting Idle

Hi,
Noticed this evening that the idle speed on my 02 Cooper seems to be hunting a little.

On tickover with the engine fully warmed up the idle moves around about 50 revs pulsing up and down every few seconds. To be honest it is pretty hard to see from the rev counter but is more noticeable on the engine note from the Milltek.

Is this normal and something I've just picked up on from the exhaust note or something more? Had the engine oil replaced last week and noticed the level is just slightly over max but wouldn't have thought this would be the problem. Also the lights, stereo, cooling fan where off so very little load and I have no Air Con. fitted.

Would the colder air temperatures, around freezing to 4 deg. C, be affecting it? I've also got a Bluefin and Viper CAI fitted. I restored the original MINI software but was hard to tell if it made much difference.

I've done a search on here and found other owners with some very wayward idle problems and stalling cars but mines not that bad. Just want to know if anyone has the same and theres no problem.

Thanks,

As one of the owners who was suffering from the stalling issues I would like to add that my 02 Cooper does this occasionally as well. It isn't affecting the performance of the car in anyway, and isn't that noticeable but I just thought you'd appreciate my two pence on the matter.
