England Air Bag Warning Light - Can Anyone help.

My airbag warning light has just come on and now wont go away DAMN THING! After reading a few different threads and posts , I was wondering whether there is anyone in the Leicestershire area with the resetting tool which they would let me use if I brought them a drink?

It seemed to have happened after I had tilted the passenger seat forward could that be the cause of the problem?

Thanks in advance.

James.

From what I read somewhere on here, you could have dislogged/disconnected the cable under the seat when you moved it. I'm sure someone will reply and tell you what to do if this is the case

Thanks for the reply. I will wait and see if anyone mentions it. I hate having the horrible red warning light on my dash!

Thanks again.

James

You can try disconnecting and re-connection the yellow and blue connections under your seat, thats if they are not disconnected already causing the light to come on.If that doesn't work disconnect the battery for 15mins,if its still on it might need new looms, module etc.

I had the same problem 2 years ago.It was a cable under passengers seat. After 5-6 resets i had the cable replaced and now it's ok.

Whereabouts are you? I'm sure there must be someone near you that has an airbag reset tool...

Its quite common that wires get broken and the connects make poor contact resulting in the classic sensor below resistance fault code.

The diagnostic connector is up above the foot pedals / bottom of steering column area pointing down and behind a black plastic flip open flap with OBD2 written on it. (moulded in the plastic). You may need a torch to read it, it took me a while to notice it !
