Lag or Not

Hi guys, Just been searching the forums re my problem and came across this thread....... My car has a similar thing where at 5000 revs it seems to hit a lull.
I had the aux belt changed by Sytner Notts (against my better judgement) and when it came back for the first 5 mins the engine is running there is a high pitch squeel - which then goes away. I tried to check the tension on the belt and it looks ok but not sure what to look at.

Has anyone else suffered from top end lag? I seems o.k in the lower range.
I knew after all my other probs with Sytner that i shouldn't have let them get their little paws on it.
I am also sure that they have added over 50 miles and changed a tyre whilst it's been in there!!

There used to be a cheaper version which only fixed the surge/yo-yo and adjusted the DCS. It did not add any extra HP. I imagine it's still available, and I see Essential MINI are still offering the MTH files. You could try contacting them EssentialMINI.co.uk

Cheers Capsaisin! Had a reply about the +HP files, so just emailed them back about the yo-yo fix only.
