What are "Torque Reaction Arm Bushes"?

Just had my 03 cooper fail MOT ,on TORQUE/REACTION ARM BUSHES? Are these track control arm Bushes? BMW have quoted £300.00 I think this is over the top.
On another form they provided it states "BRAKE REACTION BUSHES" I'm confused!!
Does any one know exactly what they are referring to?
Any advice/help appreciated
Thanks

Brake reaction bushes are on the front wishbones at the back. they rarely fail in my experience but i do know they can be a complete arse to fit.

Everyone else is lying to you. stop giving out duff advice people!

Tanks for for that, Will get a few quotes tomorrow. Not sure if £300.00 is a reasonable figure or not.

Hi I am new to the forum but I do have 20 years experince in classic and modern Minis . I repair a lot of new Minis and the front wishbone bushes are a common failure , even more so if your Mini is lowered or has modifications to the suspension or wheels . To replace the them with OE bushes which come prepressed in the mount , require you to drop the front subframe . I advise my customers to go for the Superflex two piece bush which is far superior and do not require you to drop the frame and I charge around £250 to supply and fit them . I would not advise cutting them out with oxy as seen on you tube .
