| Test the fan motor by unplugging its power connector / lead and temporarily connect the fan connector lead terminal pins (live and earth) using some suitable cable direct to a 12V car battery. If the fan works the fault is elsewhere. Some Mini fans have a resistor under a black cover on the fan shroud (see Haynes manual page 3.4) which could be faulty also a relay. |

| The Haynes manual says you can replace the resistor but has to be soldered in. I think it controls the different fan speeds, if you by pass it the fan will probably go at max speed only?
