United-Kingdom Faulty Door Pins?

Hi.
I have a bit of a problem.

When I unlock my car, the passenger side door does not unlock and sometimes it takes two or three presses of the button to open the drivers door.
The same happens when I use the button on the centre console.
The only way I can open the passenger door is by using the handle inside.

Does this sound like a case of faulty door pins or sensors or something else?

Any help would be appreciated including if it is an easy fix and cost...

Thanks
Chris

Sounds like a bad latch mechanism to me.

found out it was a solenoid in the door that needed replacing, £30 to fix from my local garage.

Cool. So I don't need to go to a Mini dealer?

I was worrying it might cost a small fortune.
