 Cooling System Problem I have a 2003 Cooper S. It sometimes makes a gurgling noise when I start it up and drive off and have noticed that coolant is a brown colour. It's been blowing water out of the header tank but there is no white gunk on the underside of the oil filler cap. The water temperature has never gone above normal so there is no sign of overheating. Apart from a dreaded head gasket failure, are there any other possible causes ? Can anyone recommend a good mini specialist in the Berkshire / Surrey area ? Thanks, Simon.  |

| Major airlock somewhere causing corrosion maybe?? If the head gasket is leaking into the cylinder instead of into the oil ways then it will over pressurise the cooling system.
