Single clunk noise from front left wheel when steering

Hi all,
I've got a Mini Cooper 51 plate (2002) which I've had since new. I've noticed recently a single clunk/click noise when I turn the steeing wheel at slow speeds from the front left wheel/arch. It only happens from a standing start or when turning into a parking space for example. I get no clunk during driving at normal road speed.

It's sounds like a dry joint or something, but has recently started to get louder . It doesn't affect the drive and I can't feel anything through the steering wheel but it's definitely coming from the front left wheel/arch area. I'm hoping for a bit of rain soon to see if it's only happens in the dry conditions....

Has anybody had a similar experience with the same sympoms? Any help and avoiding taking it to the terrible BMW garage by me would be most appreciated...

i have the same issue when turning into my driveway on occasion. Did you ever get this seen to?
