DIY noise after pulley swap

Hi There! "Long time reader, first time poster"
Just did a pulley swap, real B*&^% getting stock one off (BTW M---M---- puller is junk) finally had to cut it off - when I installed the 15% (eurosport) i thought I might be getting a 'rub' agaist the seal retainer, seemed to go away when I tightened it - now I'm getting a loud irregular rattle from engine, sorta sounds like lifters turned into a rock tumbler... any ideas on what I mighta done?
Thanks!

Did you change the belt? It sounds like you may have a stretched belt and the tensioner is rattling. I have run into a few pulleys that were difficult like the one you have.

I recommend the NAPA 060539 belt as it will be tighter and not stretch so quickly.

Welcome to the forum!

Yes, I did put on a new, shorter one...but I am heading out to check that, probably pull the intercooler to get a better idea of the location of noise - it's loud enough I really can't tell (was planning to clean out the I/C anyway to help efficiency) THX!
