United-Kingdom Strange Steering Feel..?

Hi All,

I have recently noticed that as I accelerate from lowish speeds often with a bit of steering lock on the steering seems to weave / wonder slightly. Never noticed it before.

The car is a OneD on 15inch wheels with Pirelli tyres. The tyre pressures are spot on and the tyres have worn evenly each side, although they are going to need to be replaced before winter.
I know the state of the roads are pretty bad were I live so it could be that, though I think it seems to happen on smoother surfaces to, just not as strongly.

Any ideas? Could it just be the tyres are well past there best?? Any one else had this happen?

number of this could have gone the steering colums and racks are notorious for failing on the mini also the lower wishbone bushes could be well past it (they tend to last 30k or so)

hi, i had the lower front bushes done at Lohen not that long ago so i doubt it can be that.
What are the symptoms of a knackered steering rack? my car is a 53 reg and close on 48,000 miles.
