wee problem

hiya folks ,maybe someone can help with this wee problem, the car (a 52 plate) has had starting problems as its been lying idle for 7 months,so its had 3 flat batteries and of course the usual solenoid clicking when you try to start it when the battery is flat ,now though it is running fine as its getting used normally however even though it starts fine im still hearing a rapid light clicking not unlike that solenoid noise and the fuel and temp gauges are jumping about by that i mean about 2mm of a jump
does that make sense? anyone have this same problem ?

The needles often jump around when you power it on and even when you switch the radio on without the ignition on.

Possible clicking is the resetting of the throttle body servo but hard to tell. How about getting someone else to do it while you listen?

Cheers mate thats good to know that they jump around as norm,ill get some else to assist like you say,anything untoward comes out of it ill post it up
