DIY how do i get these vents off

I want to get the bonnet vents off to replace the mesh under them but I can't get them off. I can feel the some of the clips but cant get to them properly. Any suggestions apart from turning into Mr elastic?

Simple push as Paul says

or

Locate each front tab in turn push them back as you push up the centre of the vent - even my big hands find it easy.

I would suggest that you read the site rules and do not try to get around the swear filter - it impresses no one at all.

Brute but gentle force, got it

and who's trying to impress? I was just very frustrated when posting.
(its a shame you can't see how many fingers I'm holding up)

That is a totally unnecessary comment and I apologise but I'm not deleting it.
Thank you.

With that sort of attitude I do not think that you will find too much help from this site.

So much for your MINI spirit

Now, now, Remedial was frustrated and it's our job to ease that frustration.
I came to this thread hoping to get some info and had to wade through the lecturing.
Reminds me of the time I got frustrated and used a company-wide email address to ask everyone what the "stupid" entry in a logbook meant.
Lectured by at least 50 people who took it to mean I was calling them all stupid while one person was helping me figure out my problem...
