ABS light and Traction control light came on?

right driving tonight, average speed. Second gear, put my foot down in second out of junction and traction control kiks in, but then it stays on, and i couldnt turn it off..... Then look at speedo and my ABS light is on?? whats the problem guys?

Does it function correctly if you turn the ignition off and back on?

It sounds like it couldn't cure the spinning wheel and has disabled the ABS.

yes i pulled over, turned the car off...... turned it back on and lights came on and stayed on but when i pulled off the lights went off???

oh and the road it happened on is the most slippery road i have ever driven !

I'd not worry about it then. The TC uses the ABS system, and if the ABS system can't do what is required it will turn off the ABS. Meaning you can still stop, just without abs.

A common example of this happening would be driving in snow.
