2006 mini cooper fault

Hi All , This is my first visit to the site and can't find where I should post my question, so its on here until I get some advise as to where it would be best.
My wife has a park lane 2006 mini cooper which intermittently from pull away kangroos just like when you first learn to drive and also appears gut less until the revs get up.BMW have had it back 3 times they say they reloaded the software, then they changed the manifold and the last time its was the cat.It feels like the computer calls for fuel then stops and this repeats until you can get the revs up.Any ideas as to the actual fault would be most welcome. Thanks in advance

I moved your post into its own thread as this is a new problem. I also put it in the proper section to see if we can get some better help for you.

I can't remember but is this an S model? If it is, it is possible that you have a wonky bypass valve.

My 2006 Park Lane does this too. Turning off the aircon helps, as does developing a heavy right foot. I assumed it was just one of the many built-in features of the MINI along with rattles, hard ride and poor fuel consumption.
