Cooper "S" Owners...Did The Cold Start "Fix" work For You?

Only respond if you've had the CD #31 software upgrade and you previously had the cold start problem. Curious to see if I'm alone in not having a successful upgrade or not. These results should be trickling in now that dealers have the CD.

My understanding is that the fix also applies to the MC 5-speed and CVT, so do not exclude these from your survey.

Yes

I had the software update done yesterday on my MCS. The whole lower rpm range has a different feel and the car started up 1st time this morning (normally took 2-4 times).

So yes it works.

Only the "S" had the cold start problem...that's all I'm surveying here.

My MCS is an August 15 build date. Supposedly the 'cold start' fix was done at the factory or when it arrived in the USA. 650 miles no problems. Also pulls much better down low than the dealer test drive car from April. Much stronger mid-range.

I can pull away from a stop with hardly any pressure on the accelerator at all, no signs of wanting to stall.

Sorry if this doesn't quite fit in your parameters.

Motor on, Dudes and Dudettes!!!

Mine's been OK the past few days. I guess I didn't hold the key over long enough the first time I tried it after the CD#31 fix. I do seem to have to hold the key over longer than most other cars, but she will start on the first try.

Hey, how do I get a moderator to change my vote from "no" to "yes"?

BTW, now my coolant overflow bottle is seeping from the seam
