| Clutch replacement I have the unfortunate task of having to have my clutch replaced on my wifes Mini One after 90,000 miles,(probably the original. I have discounted the Main Stealers (£1000) and even my local garage is looking at the thick end of £400 so without further ado I have decided to do it myself. I,m quite handy with a pair of mole grips. So anyone out there done this before and what is the best way? I was told by my local garage that half of the sub frame has to come out but I don't agree any ideas before I consult the manual? |

| As far as I know you have to drop the engine and sub frame to change the clutch. It take 8 hours at a garage, and they have ramps, hoists ect. Hence its so expencive. Had my clutch and flywheel changed at an independent garage took them 11 hours. |
