The left side of the convertible roof does not "unlatch" when I attempt to lower roof. Right side "unlatches" fine. I am aware of the sensor on the left side of the rear shelf. It is fine, as I can hear the click when shelf is lowered. The problem happens with windows all up or all down when "lower roof" button is engaged. No red lights or other warnings come on. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

barry got broken cables too. dealer quoted me $2,600 to replace the sunroof section. anyone locate a how-to-fix reference or place to fix (south carolina, US)? Thanks.

This may not be much help to you guys in the USA but mine went and cost me GBP (£)550 to repair! I had it done at a BMW dealer (Dick Lovett of Hungerford) The parts were a good percentage of the price.

Have sorted on wife's 04 Cooper. If cable has pulled through crimps on mechanism there are details of fix available at £0 or $0 fix if contact at 2bike@tiscali.co.uk
