I have read alot of posts about rattles and funny noises, but ive had two passengers sit in the back of my cooper to try and find where the rattle comes from when I'm driving!!
It's the left back seat passenger corner, at first I though it was the seatbelt plug rubbing/knocking against the interior plastic, but ive since plugged in both seatbelts and I can still hear it! Ive also tried taking off plastic clip-on casing in my boot, but can still hear it. She was MOTd three weeks and all was fine...but what is this noise?!!! Nothing seems to be loose on the outside as far as I can see.
Adjust the boot lid lock and put some tape around the metal catch on the boot lid, and adjust the rubber stoppers that solved one of my many rattles. And also check there is nothing inside the little storage things my tool kit was rattling around to.
It actually hasn't been around for a few days now, so it's not continual.
I thought it would be the suspension, but it isn't that kind of knock I don't think. And my MINI was MOTd a few weeks ago and everything was fine, so I don't think it is.
It's so strange, at one point I was stopped at lights, and it only happens whilst moving, but it was a little quieter and in rythm with my engine vibrations, sounded a bit like a helicopter!
