water in footwell -where is it supposed to go?

So,
I've poked around on the forums for the above problem and have limited help resolving it thus far.

04mcs- moisture UNDER the passenger side rubber floormat and i have discovered water under the carpeting (after removing the interior side trim against the carpeting, seat belt anchor and passenger seat)
lots of water under there. have soaked 4 bath towels already.

it is happening when the car is sitting and have only noticed it in the past week with the significant rain we've been having.

Checked the drain hoses leading out of the front of the sunroof and they are clear.
BUT----- where do they drain??????????
i assume in the A-pillar somewhere but where? And IF they terminate IN the A-pillar, where is the drain to the outside??

i had the car on a lift tonight and couldn't find any location other than the typical holes in the bottom rails of the car and plugs in some spots. I tried to get the black lower edge trim off to see if there are drains under there but couldn't see any.--BTW that is a pain in the buttocks to remove.

My guess is that the hose from the sunroof terminates somewhere outside the car and somehow this tube wound up INSIDE the a-pillar and is filling up with water and eventually leaking into the footwell. I couldn't find any other sources of water in the footwell ie: roof drain, windshield, i have yet to check the AC, but i haven't been running it very often and i doubt it would create a gallon + of condensate.

any help regarding the drain tube and it's proper terminus would be very welcome. OR the location of the drain on the underside of the car if it drains INTO the frame.
