Changed my Lambda sensor!!!

Morning guys.

For a couple of weeks now my emissions light has been on and i got it hooked up to a computer and it told me the fault was being found on O2 Sensor 1 (before the cat) but as the car was running fine and not missing or anything i thought chances are its the sensor that is faulty so got a new one and put it on on Saturday morning. Only taken about half an hour, easy job. After driving a few miles the light went off, i was well chuft but then next day back on, then a few miles later it went off again. In total it has been going off and coming on about five times. The new sensor obviously has made a difference but i am wondering if the light keeps coming back on because the fault is still on the computer and has not been reset.

Any ideas?????

Could possibly be a faulty sensor 2 as well? Go get it properly checked out at a garage or your dealer though, I don't think O2 sensors are exactly cheap so I'm not saying go out and buy another one but get it checked out. Did you find out about the spoiler business btw mate?

Might have mentioned this already in another thread, but have you checked your air filter? A dirty air filter /air box is a common cause for front sensor errors, and many times the sensor was actually fine.

Good luck!
