Strange noise when refueling! - MINI Cooper Forum

Dont think this is really anything to worry about but it is really bugging me!!

Everytime i take my car for petrol, this really high pitched noise (which feels like its going straight through me) comes from where the petrol is going in! It really makes me cringe. I have had the car over a year now and its only started doing it over the last week. Never heard of this before but i'm thinking its like when the two metals are touching?

Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance!

as an outside guess it sounds like you have air in the fuel tank, Have you ever let the fuel go low?

Really? oh how to i let it out then??!!! I always wait until the red light come on but then i fill it up straight away.

fill it up

then you won't have a problem!
