I have not had to do my Mini clutch yet (plenty of classics) but I,m pretty sure if you have air-con you don't have to disconnect any pipes as shown in some of those pics? I believe Dealers move the front end module assy forward temporarily but retained on special longer bolts to give enough space to work. Worth researching this first or perhaps someone on here can answer?

nothing to worry about at all , it does seem worring taking the front of but it is all strait forward & it gives lots of extra space to work , the air filter & battery box hide loads of stuff ,but with the front out of the way you can see what to do ,i did mini in 1 day & a bit but did not order the clutch till it was out & lost 3 hours , you need to drain the gear box oil but you should be ok putting it back in it is a bmw only part at £21 a liter & it takes 2 i did filter mine it lasts 240 k so i was told

Millers 75W 90 Fully synthetic oil is fine to use £16 for 2 liters. This is gear oil not engine oil
