Warning Lights Problem

I have an O7 cooper and would appreciate any advice on my problem.

On occasions recently when the car has been used and then restarted the engine, air bag & seat belt warning lights stay on. The speedo and power steering does not work and the fuel gauge lights go banana's. This problem disapears after a few miles and I am left with the engine warning light showing yellow, which means OK to drive but visit the dealer for check.

I have visited the garage and they checked the problem and said it was the DSC unit and booked the car in for a future visit. I have checked with Mini and my car is not fitted with a Dynamic Stability Control Unit!
