Valve cover cracked!!!!

Hi all, while replacing my coil pack, I must of over torqued the bolts because it cracked the valve cover in the back. Do you use the rubber grommets again because I used the bolts ALTA supplied,grommets below and above and while tightening it made a snap sound. Bolts were tight comming out and had loctite blue on threads. Stated car and oil blew out a 2" crack below the mounts in the rear.
Called dealer part is $ 289 but not in stock. 1) can I repair the cover with epoxy to temp fix till new cover comes in? 2) how much pressure is the cover under? Doesn't the PVC valve vent the pressure off? I mixed some 2 stage epoxy, after removing oil etc with alcohol, and made a 1/2" patch along the seam of the crack to rebuild the strength up. let it dry and patched again over and wider. Hopeing this will hold. Cannot believe the pressure is that strong to break this patch. Any Ideas or comments?
