drivers door problem

Hello there,

My 2002 cooper seems to have the perennial problem where the central locking is operational but doesn't manage to unlock the drivers door.

I can hear the mechanism working but it doesn't lift the button.

There seem to be so many ideas about what the problem is out there but is there a reliable solution before I start to take the door apart?!!

I have the same but on the passenger side, it locks but doesnt unlock...

You need new Door lock which will cost £62 from BMW and hour hour fitting time!
