| Mini engine light on intermittently
Hi, I've had a problem for the past couple of months, the engine light comes on, when the car is driven above about 4200 rpm. It is a 53 plate coopers, i did have a problem before when i had damaged the post cat 02 sensor, but manifold and sensors have been changed, the cat was blocked. It went away for a while after i had driven the car under 4000 rpm for a couple of weeks, and behaved normally under harder acceleration. Then it was intermittent but now it seems to come on evy thime it is past aroud 4200, or even more so under load. THe coolant seems to dissappear very frequently too, had the expansion tank changed a couple of years ago, but problem back again. Just read some other threads, may a faulty thermostat be the problem,or even another blocked cat? Any help appreciated, Thanks, allan |
